The 2017 Cycling season is under way with the year’s first World Tour event, the Santos Tour Down Under, occurring in Adelaide, Australia. The 19th edition played well into the hands of the climbers as Stage 2 was regarded as the toughest stage in the tour’s history.
Trek-Segafredo's Fuiyuki Beppu repeats to win the 2016 Japan Cup Criterium. Wearing florescent yellow kit to support cyclist visibility, the Trek team did a perfect lead out with the Belgian Jasper Stuyven delivering the domestic to the perfect position for the sprint. Rounding out the podium are Jon Aberasturi of Team Ukyo and Manuela Mori of Lampre Merida. This was also the last race of Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara.
